Students enrolled in the Congress of Future Medical Leaders or the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders had the opportunity to participate in College Domination Boot Camp. This camp was a special add-on program for the Congress Student Delegates and their parents. This event was held on June 28, 2016 at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell campus. Over the week sessions over 9,000 students and parents will participate in the Congress of Future Leaders.
The College Domination Boot camp was hosted by college admission expert, Dr. Deborah Bedor, CEO of College Admission Central, LLC and author of “Getting In by Standing Out.” Dr. Bedor put together a camp that included information on admissions, financial aid and standardized testing.
Fred Amrein had the privilege of being one of the three main speakers that spoke to the Student Delegates and their parents on Tuesday. Fred presented college funding issues facing most students and families. His presentation included topics such as financial aid positioning, student debt, and envisioning their financial futures. Fred enjoyed having the opportunity to meet so many high-achieving high school students and their parents. The energy and enthusiasm in the room was an exciting way to see our country’s future leaders.
